Dougie goes deep.

*picture from the Boston Globe*

Now it works. Stupid blogger. Could not get a picture to load to save my life last night: NOW it decides to come through.

Oh well. Timmeh pitched a heck of a game last night, going 7 innings with 1R, 4H, 4K's, and 3BB. Plus Papi and Mike Lowell each went yard.

Best part: I got to holler out to nobody in particular "Dougie goes Deep!"

'Cause nothings better than when you expect Doug to whiff at a ball 3 feet outside, or ground out to the pitcher, and he takes it deep.

Today: Doc Halladay vs. Julian. The Maalox won't be to far away.

Glad the boys won. Now, on to more important matters; Dougie is right up there with Lowell in the cuteness department. Course I've never seen them up close.

Oh, Tex....

Alright I thought we had quit all the I know he can play but can he do the catwalk stuff! Lets stick to baseball girls.

Great day to be fleecing. Hummed my favorite PinkFloyd song all day long!

Comfortably Numb? Dark side of the moon? Another Brick in the wall?

Surely a man of your musical knowledge did not stoop to "Money"?

Boys win 5-3 today: MANNY goes long ball!

scott h said...

I just read game up date, sounded good, A-rod walk off homer again. Their pitching situation should hurt them this weekend. Are all the games on this weekend for the poor folk without radioactive cable!

Mattie said...

I'm finally joining the ranks of the basic cable customers tomorrow, and Bub, if Jr. is correct, we should get the Sat. and Sun. games. Friday is for the radioactive Dish people.

Man, I've got to figure out a way to get Angie to do everything so I can comment more!

Scotty, on paper this weekend is the Sox: however, as much as this pains me, Slappy is having quite the first month. I'm sure I'll be good and locked up.

And Tree Bark is correct: Sat is FOX, and Sunday is ESPN.

Ted D said...

HEY TEX!

Pics did not work.

Tex said...

well just look at them all Stacy

I have pics of dougie and mikey up close....mmmmmmmmmm

scott h said...

Ted are you a man or a mouse? Get your priorities in place so we can chat.Whats up with Tex, going to use talking pic's now.
Who else is a little unnerved by Kaylee right now? I think I would rather hear her than wonder where she is.

Tex said...

stacy started it

Ted D said...

I'm here: they are all in bed now.

Stacy, do NOT under any circumstances start talking about how good looking you think various ball players are: Tex goes crazy!

Tex said...

i dont go crazy Ted...Pullllleeeeeeze

my mouth drools when i see handsome men...it's a natural reaction..I have NO control over it

Ted D said...

I beg to differ dear. You are, technically speaking, aa Tekfanaticwholoveshisgargantuanlegs.

And they say my education was wasted.

scott h said...

Ted Im living the life of Riley right now! I have three Virginia ladies fixing my supper, bringing me my slippers and, wait it's dessert time right now!

Ted, so what games are you watching now?

scott h said...

Tex, you do know most ballplayers suffer from an Id complex and can't go more than two sentences without talking about themselves.

Tex said...

virginia ladies??? Have the Chicklets been found?

Ted...I love Tek for MORE than his thighs...his eyes, his buttocks, his smile, oh well his catching ability...not so much his bat sometimes :)

Christine E. said...

What on EARTH have I walked into? LOL

Did I miss the chicklets?

Great game--too bad I was totally clueless that it was on this afternoon...byt any game we win is a great one..:-)

Ted D said...

Tex, 3 of my Aunts are visiting OK which is the reason for Scotts joy.

Scotty, got the Reds/Astros on right now: Bronson Arroyo is pitching for the Reds tonight.

Christine, you really never know what your'e gonna find here: we're and eclectic bunch for sure. You missed Manny's first HR? Took him several minutes to leave the batters box: bad sportsmanship but quite entertaining.

scott h said...

Well Christine long time no hear.

Ted, kids are in bed no sox game on where are you?

Tex , happy hour yet at the do drop inn yet?

Ted D said...

RIght here Bub. They say the eye's are the first to go.

The wife is sewing, so I'm just surfin' around. Wonder where graham cracker went off to?

Christine E. said...

Yeah, I missed Manny and his Showboating....I am sure there wil lbe 30 or 40 more times that we will get to see that this year...

Are we ready for the Skankees this weekend? They make my physically ill...now THERE Is a nuch of repulsive men....LOL

Mattie said...

Pizza Roll,

Been swimming in the deep end...about to post. Bub needs to get the Aunties on here! That would be classic! In real life they are ever better than the Chicklets.

scott h said...

Whats up with Fern gulleys hit and run.

Mattie said...

I had the displeasure of listening to the end of that freaking Stankees game today, and wanted to scream. I had to hear their scmuck announcer scream "THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Yankees win!!!" AARRRGGGHHHHH!!! That cat kills me! I hope we absolutely dismantle their patchwork pitching staff, and I hope Schill, Beck, and Dice-K tie them all in knots.

scott h said...

I suggest someone contact the Runaway hot line on Kaylee. I would work on a milk carton drawing but I don't know what she looks like!
Well the gans all here, Mattie how deep is deep this time? I'm keeping my pool and Tv no matter what.

Ted D said...

Christine, if he was not a Red Sox, I think I'd still love him. He does not seem to have a mean bone in his body: however, I would HATE the pimping of every home run if he was not on my team: the fact is he is: so I love it. ESPECIALLY when he does it vs. NY.

I'm looking forward to the weekend and dreading it at the same time: when they play the Yanks, it's the only time I don't enjoy the games: I get too amped up.

Mattie, I can't listen to that knob: just gets my ears red.

scott h said...

Working on a top ten roadhouses to hit for the Aunties on their way back home!

Tex said...

no partying tonight actually. Im watching Grey's Anatomy. and leaving early in the morn

Ted D said...

I think I may have made her mad last night: I hope not, but that's what I'm guessing.

And I'm keeping my satellite no matter what: the phone, heat, and new clothes are negotiable.

scott h said...

I don't know Ted nobody Pimped like Reggie J back in the day!

Ted D said...

Tex,

Ang watches that show: I feel myself losing whats left of my mind as I watch it. You know me, 24 is more my speed.

Mindless popcorn fun: don't like them "serious" shows. Though you'd think a show about terrorism would be serious, but somehow it's not.

KAYLEE said...

Hey scott i am here finally have to work sometimes you know?:-)

Ted D said...

Scotty, that is true: no Jackie, no Reggie. no Reggie, no Manny. I say, you don't want Manny pimping, don't leave that slider on the middle of the plate.

KAYLEE said...

i hate watching yankees games had to for two day now and hate em!

Ted D said...

Scotty, ask and you shall recieve!

Christine E. said...

Kaylee doesn't usually let the teasing bother her...I hope she is ok..she seems different lately...

Manny is not one of my favorite people...I dont like his antics, and I dont like that the managemnt outs up with his antics..

KAYLEE said...

//Kaylee doesn't usually let the teasing bother her...I hope she is ok..she seems different lately...//

I am fine Christine I just go through different mood swings every once in a while:-)

Ted D said...

Christine, Manny is one of those love him or hate him kind of guys. Petey got the same treatment, and if I think hard on it, I get annoyed. But I love the fact a grown man can be so goofy: I wish I could be like that. The other night, he turned to Drew in the dugout and made bug eyes at him, and Drews look was priceless: like, "what planet are you from?"

He keeps hitting 35/130, he can play the field with shorts on.

Mattie said...

I love Manny pimping when he hits a dinger! It's much better than watching Blue Lips act like he just won the world series.

Christine E. said...

I am glad you are doing OK Kaylee--I worry..:-)

I did not like it where Pedro pulled the nonsense either--they get paid more money that I will make in 10 lifetimes, and they don't seem the least bit thankful for it...

scott h said...

I figure if you don't like the pimping you can always bean him next time up!
Ok take down the amber alert

Ted D said...

I refuse to watch the replay of the Yankee game today: that walkoff celebration where he rips off Papi and throws his helment away makes me sick.

I keep hoping Jeter will whack him on top of the head with a bat when he does that, "Casino" style.

KAYLEE said...

okay can we stop talking about manny pimping? Its scaring me although i am the same person that ran from my dog yesterday.I hate stupid pitbulls:-)

Ted D said...

Yeah Bub, but if you bean him you have to run the risk of Papi or Wily Mo Pena stomp you into a mudhole.

scott h said...

Ted that is the idea.

Kaylee pitbull furcoats are real popular right now.

Ted put on your speedo the water is fine over at peatmoss's site

KAYLEE said...

//Kaylee pitbull furcoats are real popular right now.//

what?WOW scott, you just blew my mind with that one.I aint tinking on all cylinders today and I wont say why.

KAYLEE said...

*thinking

scott h said...

Well when you are TINKING , let us know. And Kaylee I was 15 once and can say been there done that.

KAYLEE said...

scott your spelling aint any better so watch it when you are teasihng me for it:-)

Mattie said...

Kaylee, Scotty's spelling is not even on the level with a 5 year old, much less a 15 year old.

KAYLEE said...

I was being nice by not saying his is worse than mine.

Ted D said...

Which reminds me, I need to contact blogger: they really do need a spell check on this mother.

Scott, just did a high dive off the big board in the rainforest. May have belly flopped, but I gave it a whirl.

Mattie said...

No belly flop, bro. Maybe a cannonball, but no belly flop

KAYLEE said...

who says i use spell check even when its available?

Mattie said...

Fellas, we need a grammar check WAY more than we need spell check!

KAYLEE said...

I could definately use that I got a stupid english teacher that cant even teach:D

scott h said...

You freaks are all wet. skunk calling badger blackie

Tex said...

ok now Im trying to get all this family stuff straight.
Scotty lives in Okie
Ted and Mattie live in NC
where does Stacy live?

Mattie said...

Bub, WHAT?

KAYLEE said...

Id be better off living in mars that is where my head is most of the time lately.

Ted D said...

Tex, Stacy lives in NC as well. Her husband works with Wheat Germ and myself:

Scotty married my sister Sonya, who along with Sheri still live in OKC.

Bubba, in English please: what in the ever loving world are you babbling about?

KAYLEE said...

who knows where scott's head is right now...I cant even find my own at the momment:D

scott h said...

DON'T BE KNOCKING MY SPELLING . YOU GUYS WRITE IN HYROGRIPHICS ALL THE TIME ALSO!!!!

scott h said...

Just be cause I was a kid in the 70's don't be questioning where my head is,

KAYLEE said...

I never would think about doing that scott...what I am thinking about is going to bed and waking up and coming back to real life because where i am now is not a fun place:D

KAYLEE said...

hey at least you werent a kid in the 1800"S

Ted D said...

Scott, I just want you to explain what you are talking about.

There is no need to yell.

Jeesh.

scott h said...

Have you been huffing caned air?

Ted D said...

Who? Me? Or Kaylee?

Or you?

KAYLEE said...

//Have you been huffing caned air? //

Who are you talking to?

Tex said...

well kids tomorrow night REAL baseball begins. I get to watch Fri and Sun games...I get in around noon to austin and ill have 6 hrs to prepare

scott h said...

Ok change of subject . Ted how much is the ticket to the games in sept.

KAYLEE said...

wait does that mean I get to watch another yankees games if they are gunna be on ESPN?

scott h said...

The hullucinating question was to Kaylee

Ted D said...

You are a day late and a dollar short: $22 bucks apiece but you'll have to talk to the Jumpster. He sent me a check which has already been spent. You can pay him the $44 bucks and you are in.

Tex, you'll get Schilling and Matsuzaka: you know, the fact Beckett has not lost and you have not seen him pitch yet has not escaped my superstitious little mind: I may be onto something.

KAYLEE said...

no I dont huff anything yet!I am lucky to be on this planet right now though:D

scott h said...

Tex let me get this straight you are going to be in balt. at the same games dwiddle d and dwiddle dum are trying to get me to come to?

KAYLEE said...

My mother wanted to send me to boot camp the other day I told her that would be pure torture for me.AND she wonders why I never listen to her!

scott h said...

What do you mean talk to the jumpster, money all ready spent, but you can mail him 44.00 That makes about as much sense as a rubber crutch.

KAYLEE said...

Your punctuation is even bad scott.

Tex said...

Ted do NOT think for a second I have not thought about that fact...scares me since I am going to so many games!! speaking of games...i am not going to get to see Sat of the Memorial weekend...Scotty would you be interested in my tickets?

oh and Scotty...yes I am going to the games in Baltimore that dumb and dumber are going to

scott h said...

Maybe thats why she wants to send you to bootcamp. I would straighten up and fly right. Those bootcamps are not club Med

Ted D said...

Scott, I mean Randy paid me for 2 tickets to each game, one for him, and one for his son, since you keep dragging your feet. If you want to come, he's cool with that: you'll just need to pay him for the 2 tickets he bought. I had to buy EVERYONES ticket, so he went ahead and paid me.

And yes, Tex will be there to meet the Dalton boys: I'm not sure I'll ever be the same again. :)

Ted D said...

//oh and Scotty...yes I am going to the games in Baltimore that dumb and dumber are going to//

Now Tex, was that really necessary? ;)

KAYLEE said...

oh I know that scott I just hope she wasnt serious...cause thats something she'd actually so:-0

scott h said...

Tex let me check .Thanks ,Wow I feel all quivery inside! Tex likes me she really really really likes me!

KAYLEE said...

*do:8

Ted D said...

She ain't gonna give them to you doofus: you need to PAY her for them.

Tex, I apologize: he really is just a little boy in a Grandfathers body.

Tex said...

Now Tex, was that really necessary? ;)

uhmmm Ted...Scotty started it :)

scott h said...

So am I bumping Randy or his son? I thought I was in from the get go not a after meal mint.

Ted D said...

I know, I know: I just expect more from you than I do him.

And I've known him 25 years!

Tex said...

i dont think its a little boy I think it may be Sally Fields

Ted D said...

Dude, I asked you over a month ago: I've got 4 tickets that I paid for: you have got to step up!

His stepson: and I've talked to him, and he is cool if you want to come. In fact, he'd love to see you.

You NEED to come: it'll do you a world of good. Plus, you'll get to meet Tex which is worth the price of the flight!

Tex said...

how did I GET to be the responsible one???? as I recall I jump on bars to look for lost purses

scott h said...

Tex have you seen "What about Bob"? If you haven't I would strongly encourage it. CAuse its not matt or myself you play the Bill Murray role!!

Ted D said...

Plus you fall down getting on stage to sing: we Dalton's really are pathetic Tex. I've been trying to tell you that!

Tex said...

ok now Im feeling like this hyped up movie commericials they do and when you finally see it...you're let down...I hope I live UP to Ted's HYPE of me :)

scott h said...

oops who play bill murray

scott h said...

Do I need to send you a 1000.00 to cover you for a couple of months?

Ted D said...

Tex, no hype: you are the real deal!

Thankfully, Cinnamon Muffin, Scott, and myself have no hype to live up too. Dumb is dumb, no matter how you slice it.

Ted D said...

Bubba, you have no idea how close to the truth you are!

scott h said...

bob or the 1000.00 bucks

Ted D said...

The money of course. I have no clue where you are going with the "What about Bob" references.

Tex said...

ok Im confused....who's getting $1000???

scott h said...

Have you seen What about Bob my little friend

scott h said...

The first lady who comes up to me in balt, and says hey my name is Tex

Tex said...

and HOW am I Bill Murry's character???

Tex said...

ive seen the movie....???? dont get how I am Bob

Ted D said...

Thank you Tex: I'm glad I'm not the only one lost here.

New post shortly.

scott h said...

TEX YOU ARE NOT BOB ONE OF THE OTHERS ARE AND ITS NOT MATT OR SCOTT

Ted D said...

I guess I'm Bob: though he said you were Bob, Tex. I'm confused, but that's normal for me.

Off to bed everyone: Scotty, keep on rockin' the Kasba!

scott h said...

Thats rocking the cat box, and your bob in a funny way

Mattie said...

I missed WAY too much on this tonight. Lost doesn't begin to describe me after Bub's "What About Bob" diatribe. What in the world are you rambling about Bub?!!!
