Wacky does not BEGIN to describe it.

Daisuke gives up 5 runs in the top of the first, the Sox answer with 5 of their own in the bottom of the second.

Manny goes yard twice, and the Red Sox win 8-7.

What a weird, wacky game this thing turned out to be.

Bottom line? The Boston Red Sox DO NOT GIVE UP.

And the footage of Manny, Julian, and Julio Lugo from NESN needs to be sent to the Smithsonian ASAP.

Man: I love this game.

i love watching a team that shows their wacky personality on national tv!

Ted D said...

Forgot the best part: Papi's spontaneous hug of Vidro on the basepath's!!

Tex, you will never find a bunch of grown men having so much fun and not giving a crap who sees them or not.

I love that they have so much fun playing ball. That hug of Ortiz is too cute! :)

Ted D said...

Stacy, it was very funny to see happen live: Don Orsillo just busted out laughing.

Good stuff

Kaylee you have crossed the line with me and your Mick statement. From now on I put you in the group with the chicklets . GONE!

Jr I could hear you snoring out hear in oklahoma!

scott h said...

Stacy we do not use the term " that hug was too cute!" on this blog concerning baseball. You can use that with Jr and all his kids or when Tree Newt is in the forest greeting his long lost relatives!!

Ted D said...

Hello Scott: I trust the fleecing went well today.

That snoring you heard was Angie, though I did get around 3 straight hours from 5 to 8 this morning.

Speaking of the chickets, how are my beautiful 2 nieces?

Tex said...

Ted Im gonna tell Angie you were ratting her out.

Ted D said...

Texas, you keep quiet now: besides, as you know, no woman ever snores.

Greetings everyone and Happy Friday!

This team is starting to remind me of the team of 2004--and I never underestimated the power of heart/chemistry/etc/etc..:-)

Thanks for the super comments on my site, Ted, you are a loyal and faithful reader--and I appreciate it...:-D

Go Sox!

Ted D said...

Hey Christine!

Just speaking the truth that's all.

I agree with you on the '04 comparisons: they seem to have really good chemistry with a lot of laughing and hugging going on.

scott h said...

Tedardo. that is a good question,
EXCEPT I can't answer it in the same breathe as the chicklets. I have told you that a million times! The NIECES are good both are done with finals as of today! BUt does that mean my yard will get mowed or my cars washed NO!

scott h said...

Tedardo, no one sleeps from 5-8 either you slept all night long and don't remember or you were sleepless AGAIN and just don't want to tell us. You are afraid we might pull an intervention on you.

Ted D said...

Bubba, I tossed and turned until around 4:45, and I'm guessing on the 5 o'clock.

BTW, I look like a racoon on a 4 day bender. Not good.

Tex said...

Tedardo LOLOLOL

Ted D said...

Listen missy: I thought you were heading to the hippity hoppity club!

Quit picking on me!!

Tex said...

I didnt come up with the name. i was just giggling at it. and I havent decided yet

Ted D said...

I know Tex: Scott has about 10 different names for everyone.

Speaking of which, wonder where Oat Muffin is tonight?

scott h said...

Tex I have to agree I liked that one also! Do you have Woodies cd?

Mr T why don't you snap a pic of that racoon and use it on your blog for a while.

scott h said...

I bet SnowPea is on a nature hike with "Where have my Boys gone" Rusty!

Ted D said...

Did he get Ol' Rusty fixed finally?

That boy and a dog is just comedic material waiting to happen.

RUSTY!

scott h said...

Do you remember us telling you about that joker trying to take Frisco on a walk with his inline skates on! While he was out here living with us.

Oh, the skates were on Matt not the dog.

Ted D said...

Yep: And I can see him now: hair down to his rear end, flailing away while yelling "Frisco NO, Frisco NO!"

Tex said...

scottie I dont have woode's cd...but I think im gonna go hear him at flipnotics...a little austiny coffee/bar around the corner from my house..the bands play outside

Ted D said...

Tex, I think Grandpa went to bed.

So, I guess no hip hop tonight?

Without getting into details, you doing OK?

scott h said...

Tex, thats cool. I went to woodies myspace. I liked what I heard. I thought he might be a little C&W but I liked what I heard.

Ted D said...

Grandad, you are still up?

I'm impressed.

1-0 Sox, in the bottom of the 8th. The run courtesy of a Big Papi HR.

scott h said...

Jr I think you are getting a little psycho on us. Everytime someone leaves you think we have go to SLEEP.

Ted D said...

I'm just jealous Bub.

Just jealous is all.

Tex said...

Ted im doing ok. I make it all day...do a 30 min meltdown at the house..then head to the lake for a walk...it helps...baseball helps...ya help. I havent given up on my situation....

scott h said...

Jr look at it this way. You have three days to sleep OR you go to the DOC. and he draws about three qts of blood, looks under your hood and up the tailpipe. I think you can will your self to sleep!!

Tex, glad to hear, though I can tell you are struggling. Sorry sis: I'll try to drop you a email.

Ted D said...

The Sox win 2-0.

WHOOOOT!

Carol said...

"Whooot" indeed. BTW, who were the Chicklets? Hope you all are good!

Ted D said...

Morning Carol: The chicklets HAD to be my nieces. It's got Scotty written all over it.

We are all good and stressed: 3 kids and insomnia will do that for you. Though I did get more sleep last night than in week.
