Sinks, losses, and hallucinations

Angie found Rakes and Trot sitting in the sink today.

Playing with my beard trimmer.

Thank God Rakes has not figured out he can cut his or his brothers hair with it yet, or I would have had 2 little Tito mini-me's. I don't want to know how Rakes got Trot up the 3 feet of cabinet to get in the sink: all I know is there is no shot of me making it 50 year's on this rock: not a chance.

Looks like maybe my mojo has swerved off the road the last 2 nights: another tough loss last night with Daisuke pitching his tail off and given a loss as his thank you for a job well done. How this team gets 2 hits off Lenny DiNardo over 6 innings is a question I can't answer.

Saw this picture from SI.com earlier, and if that doesn't get you fired up if you are a Sox fan, don't know what will. See, that's not Coco or Cora or Lowell going balls out, head first into second: that's Manny. Yep: the same Manny who people accuse of not caring, not trying, and having his head in the clouds all the time.

OK: I'll give you the head in the clouds, but a guy going all out like he is in this picture is a guy who cares, a man who wants to win. Hopefully, they all can give this kind of effort tonight, Wake will have 'em swinging at air, and we can get it going in a positive direction.

They also need to win quick tonight: my lack of sleep the last 2 nights is starting to catch up to me.

'Cause I'm not really sure I should be seeing 7 ft. tall squirrels in my peripheral vision.

Right?

I think it is very ironic that you had insomnia when the Sox played on the east coast, and now you can hardly stay awake for the west coast games. :) Love the picture of Manny...someone took an awesome photo! Manny's got some mojo going there.

Great Pic of Manny....ya better hope the boys dont figure out the haircutting business...like I know I told ya on another post...I cut my lil sis' hair when I was age 5 and she was 1...she had golden ringlets before we started.... ::evil laugh::

Stacy, your irony is not appreciated here: I find nothing funny about that. :) Actually, I was thinking the same thing Monday night: Why could my insomnia not have waited until it could have actually helped?

Tex: let's hope. 'Course you know if they did I'd just get them Uncle Fester and Dr. Evil costumes and take 300 pictures of them.

TEX,ya know I just like messing with ya today? deep down i really like ya.

my mother kept my lil sis' cut hair in a baggie for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!! Years I say....I was a teenager and came across it while looking for old photographs...my mother says she didn't hold it against me...but somehow I didnt believe her.

Ted, I told you both of mine cut their hair around 4 years old. Rakes is perilously close to that mark. HIDE all scissors, beard trimmers, nail clippers, etc. Jared cut his with child scissors. To the scalp.

I'm with you on one thing, though; I don't EVEN want to know how Rakes got Trot in the sink. Next thing you know they'll be climbing the down spouts to get on the roof.
:)

Tex, if she kept it in a bag like an heirloom, she STILL hasn't forgiven you!

Ang would be so mad at Rakes she'd make him throw it away, then talk for years about how she should have saved it!

kaylee...no worries...you're too easy to mess with.

I got away with so much as a kid...till my lil sis came along...and i guess the "barbershop" I created in the garage out back on top of one of those wringer washers...was abit much for my parents. I still remember the whupping

Glad you think my mental anguish and the fact I'll never live to hold my grand children is funny, Tex.

You are an evil, evil woman. ;)

//kaylee...no worries...you're too easy to mess with. //

should i be harder?

Tex said...

oh Ted...if I lived through all my son's antics...and have MORE energy now than I did back then...you'll be fine

wait...you have 3 kids...wellllll I'll say a prayer for ya :)

KAYLEE said...

i wont say no prayers TED IS A BIG BOY and can live through it all:-)

Ted D said...

It's the last 2 kids that are going to put me in an early grave Tex.

Well, until Ciera reaches the teenage years: then I may not even make 50.

I used to cut all the hair off my dolls-and then wonder why it did not grow back...

You'll be OK Ted--if you can survive the Sox--3 kids is nuthin'

I;m with Stacy--you cant fall asleep when they are here, but when they are on the left coats--snooze city?

They reallyREALLY need to win this game..(sigh)

Hope everyone is well!

Jr is this the time to tell you I have been calling your house during the day and Rakes answers. We talk about all the cool stuff he can do with his brother and how happy it makes his Dad when he comes homeand see's how they have been playing together!!!!!!

KAYLEE said...

SCOTT:You better watch it after that one.

Ted D said...

Hi Christine: and quit siding with my sister. It just encourages her! We are all well (physically anyway). Thanks, and hope the same for you.

Bubba: I KNEW it! I knew you were behind this all along. Because I was such an angel as a child, I was confident this could not be any of my own doing!

KAYLEE said...

SCOTT:and I am sure you and ted were perfect angels when you guys were kids.Right?

when I see the pics of Rakes....i think of that kid on Jerry McGuire

THE DUCKS WIN THE CUP, THE DUCKS WIN THE CUP, good thing I got a hat last week!!!

Ted D said...

Tex, I've thought the same thing! LOL.

Bub, glad you could be a front runner again: forgive my puck stupidity, but is that not the first championship for the Ducks?

scott h said...

Yep first one, but I have been with them all the time!

Where is tofu at? Does he really have to ask permission from the breadwinner to get online?

Ted D said...

I think that boy had his 'puter privlidges taken away.

It's a sad sight to behold.

Glad they won: and I seem to remember you sporting some Mighty Ducks gear back in the day: may have to let you off the hook.

this game is sucking like a vacuum cleaner

KAYLEE said...

//this game is sucking like a vacuum cleaner//

SHUT UP!would ya? now if they lose i am blaming it on ya.

Tex said...

kaylee...you may want to reconsider the way you deal with SGers. Don't be so negative and all....they're not used to having teenagers hang out there, so maybe if you kept your conversation light, you wouldn't "piss" people off. Just a bit of motherly advice...and I dont care if ya mess with me...i have thick skin

KAYLEE said...

TEX:OKAY,I will keep that in mind i forget the kind of people that post of there.

Tex said...

You're a sweet kid and I don't want those people getting all Rambo on ya. THey are my friends as well...so let's keep the peas :)

KAYLEE said...

Okay sounds good to me TEX.

I'd have Manny on my team if he had to hit from a lawn chair and shuffle around the basepaths behind a Zimmer frame.

Enjoy the ride with the kids. This phase too shall pass and you (and they) will survive it.

OTOH I can't imagine how I would have survived having a teenaged daughter!

Hope you're well, or at least as well as can be expected.:)

Ted D said...

John, what's scary is, you can almost imagine Manny doing exactly that.

And I enjoy every minute of it: just have to take a mental health day every now and then.

Doing well, and hope you are too.

waiting for a new post.....::taps fingers and toes::

KAYLEE said...

TEX,have some patience! That is the key to everything.

Tex said...

spoken from Queen Patience herself Kaylee :)

Ted D said...

Working on it Tex: hold your horses.

KAYLEE said...

actually tex I am quite good at giving advice just not using it myself:)

Tex said...

i dont have any horses Ted..i know all those stereotypical things ya say about Texans...just dont peek at my new post before you write yours...and lets see if we match

Ted D said...

Let me know when you are done Tex.

If it's the same, I'm going to freak out.
