A New Year

Happy New Year from my little corner of the world to yours. And no, Trot didn't turn into a flesh eater overnight; Just a combination of ham, Doritos, and a chocolate cookie.

All in all, 2007 was a pretty good year; I celebrated my 15th year of marriage, I've got three healthy children (well, physically anyway), and the Red Sox won the World Series for the second time in 4 years.

I met a lot of new friends online, and had the pleasure of meeting several of them in person, including my adopted sister Tex.

My resolutions for the new year are pretty simple; Laugh more and yell less, tell my wife I love her at least 10 times a day, and kiss my kids more often.

Other than that, I'll do what I've always done; take it one day at a time and muddle along the best I can. Like the great prophet Forrest Gump once said, "I'm not a smart man".

I have no idea what the new year will bring; I'm just figuring on going along for the ride.

Happy New Year to the Daltons, one and all, from small to tall (or what passes for that at least)!

Here's hoping for prosperity, peace and good baseball in 2008!

(And although I didn't get to mention it yesterday, I'll root for the 'skins, too!)

:-)

(Let me amend that statement to "I'll root for the 'skins to meet the Pats in the Super Bowl and then I'll hope they come in a strong second to our local guys.)

:)

HAPPY NEW Year all!

Thanks, Becks. The same wishes go out to you and Bobbers.

And like I said; I hope the 'Skins go on an unbelievable run and make it to the Super Bowl. And then I hope the Pat's forget how to get to the game, because that is the ONLY way Washington will have a prayer.

Happy New Year Ted! I hope you got Trot all cleaned up. you're gonna have enough ammunition on him...he'll be like a priest in school. I got home safe and sound...fun and frolicked with friends.

tomorrow...black eyed peas, ham and cornbread...thats all I know.

You've been a great friend this year. Thanks for all you've been through with me. you do not know how much it means.

great new years resolutions btw....smile more, frown less, and watch more baseball are mine.
(a friend of mine asked if that was even possible...sure I said)

Happy New Year to you and your family Ted. I hope there's a little less stress for you this year. Of course with the raggin that you take from Tex, I'm not so sure about that.

Happy New Year Tex. Glad you made it home safe. Right back atcha on the friend thing, and I'm really glad I've helped in some way. Anytime, and you know that.

Thanks Edge, and the same to you and your family. And a little less stress would be a good thing.

Same to you, Bub. I figured as much; I'm below sock drawer on the list.

I saw that about the hockey outside today; may have to take a peek at that.

Happy New Year, little brother!

Funny about Trot; I would have guessed spaghetti sauce. :)

Same to you Stacy. Trying to get my "going back to work game face" on.

It's not working too well.

I'm trying to be positive about going back to work. Dreading it will not make it any easier for me, and besides; this is a 3 day week! :)

I know Stacy. But I'm ready to leave this nuthouse for awhile too.

Even I need the break.

OK, my friend, you need to share the details of Tedapalooza. We know when, but need to know where, who, what, etc....

See Tex's questions over at SG...

Becks, I'm sort of planning it as I go. Candaon is picking me up and they are coming to Boston for the weekend. I'm staying with some friends and then going back to Pioneer Valley with him on Sunday after the game. Flight leaves Monday morning.

Happy New Year all.

Ted, did I actually see you say you were looking forward to going back to work? Dude, who are you and where's my brother?

Two whoots for hockey outdoors, Bub! What a game!

(crickets chirping...)

Yeah, well...there are other sports besides baseball.

Here's to an awesome year to everyone!

Rakes and Trot are what got into me, plus everyone in the family getting sick during Christmas.

I hate I missed the game, Matt. I saw some highlights on ESPN, and they need to do that more often. BTW, have you seen "Mystery, Alaska"? It's a Russell Crowe flick about this Alaskan hockey team playing the Rangers outdoors in Alaska.

If you haven't, you need to check it out.

48hrs and no word from Ted. I can't say I didn't see this coming.

For those of you who don't know Ted, like his family does he has a condition. It only allows him to cheer for the major underdog, the bottom feeders.

It started as a small child sitting in front of the tv wearing a football uniform 3 sizes to big for him and it was a xxs. watching his hapless Redskins get pummeled time after time. Teddy never wavered never changed the only person wearing a Redskins toboggan.

As fate would have it the Redskins started to improve, won a superbowl. Ted was brokenhearted.

Fastforward 20yrs Ted seemed to have forgotten about sports altogether. Then he discovers the lowly Redsox carrying the biggest curse ever laid on a team.

Against all odds the Redsox brake the curse and win not one but two WS rings in 4yrs. We should all be happy for Ted right. He even started this great blog. I could hear it in his voice the last few weeks , he starts to talk and his voice just trails off.

I'm hoping that I am wrong maybe Ted has reversed his own curse and can still cheer for the mighty RedSox. But if you see a Cubs banner appear here in a few weeks don't say you weren't warned.

I'm pulling for you Ted to kick the habit!

Bub, I'm sad for you and your senility. One of your all time funniest posts and because you forgot how to refresh your computer, you missed 4 posts!!!

You are too much.
