Alex Cora, with his right arm pointed skyward scores the winning run on a throwing error by Orioles pitcher Jim Miller in the bottom of the ninth. Only thing that would make it better would be his middle finger extended and him yelling "How you like those apples?" to the fans of the Yankees and the Rays.
After taking 2 out of three games from what seems the last 12,000 teams they played, the Sox finally got to use those brooms they bought at the dollar store to celebrate a sweep.
Which means I've spent tonight in some sort of baseball Twilight Zone; Yankees playing the Rays and while I can't actually WISH for the Yankees to win, I'm not exactly upset they are in fact beating the Rays in the 9th inning.
I think I need a shower. Or get scrubbed down with a wire brush like people exposed to radiation.
Up is down, down is up, and I REALLY just want the Red Sox to win the division.
The fact the Sox need the Yankees help to make this happen has caused me to break out in hives.
Maybe Michael Stipe was right and it really IS the end of the world as we know it.
And no; I don't feel fine.
